Fifteen students from the Institute De Titta Fermi, in Lanciano, specializing in information technology, on February 14th, had the opportunity to explore our University’s academic and research community.
During their visit, they toured the Rectorate, Faculty of Science, and University of Split campus, where they were introduced to teaching methods, research projects, and infrastructure students have at their disposal.
At Faculty of Science’s Computer Science Department, students got acquainted with applying artificial intelligence in education and research. After an introductory lecture on AI and its application in computer science studies, they visited the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, where they saw AI connecting with the humanoid robot Nao and measuring brain activity during problem-solving.
Interaction with the students was extremely dynamic - they asked interesting questions answered by members of the AI Research Group: Dino Nejašmić, Antonela Prnjak and Saša Mladenović.
Perhaps some of them will decide to study in Split and become part of our academic community!
