The ceremonial promotion of undergraduate and graduate engineers who completed their studies at University Department of Maritne Studies took place on December 12 in Three Faculties Building’s large amphitheatre. They were promoted by assoc. prof. Maja Krželj Ph.D., Head of Department, asst. prof. Marin Ordulj Ph.D., Deputy Head, assoc. prof. Vedran Poljak Ph.D., Head of undergraduate study of Biology and Sea Technology, asst. prof. Frano Matić Ph.D., Head of graduate study of Ecology and Marine Protection, and prof. Svjetlana Krstulović Šifner Ph.D., Head of graduate study of Marine Fisheries.

Those present were welcomed and congratulated for achieving this significant milestone by Head of study Maja Krželj and prof. Igor Jerković Ph.D., Vice-rector for Science and Quality. Nikolina Baumgartner gave a speech on behalf of all graduates.

59 students completed the three-year undergraduate study of Marine biology and technology, 34 students the two-year graduate study of Ecology and Marine Protection, and 22 students the two-year graduate study of Marine Fisheries.

The musical program featured a performance by student of singing from the Academy of Arts, Leona Sever, accompanied by prof. Pero Prosenica.
