Ceremonial signing of University of Split’s Scholarship Agreements, for the academic year 2024/25, took place on March 21 in the Three Faculties Building large amphitheatre.
This year, a total of 111 scholarships were awarded to encourage and reward excellence of the best students from all our University’s components. Scholarship recipients will receive 150 euros each month, for 12 months, bringing the total annual scholarship amount to 1,800 euros per student.
Recipients were congratulated by University of Split’s Rector, prof. Dragan Ljutić Ph.D., who stated that they have raised the bar through their hard work and dedication, rightly deserving scholarships for excellence.
“The University exists for the students, and it is a particular pleasure to have such an occasion when we can reward them for their achievements,” rector said, urging students to continue growing and developing, while also remaining connected to our University in their professional careers.
Congratulations to scholarship recipients was also extended by Vice-rector for Students, Teaching, and Business, Prof. Nikola Koceić-Bilan Ph.D., pointing out that University ensures that all students acquire necessary skills and knowledge for their future professions, in accordance with modern scientific insights and labour market needs, also taking care of all aspects of student standard.
“Year after year, the University raises level and quality of the student standard, and the current level is such that Split is no longer recognized solely for its sea, cultural and historical heritage, but also for our University and students who give our city a special atmosphere,” Vice-rector Koceić-Bilan said, telling the recipients that they are University’s and, more importantly, future pillars of Croatian society, active promoters of knowledge and moral values, bearers of positive change.
The musical program featured Academy of Arts Music Theory student, Josipa Mamić, while the event was moderated by Communication and Media Studies student, Rita Aničić.
