Scientists from prestigious Stanford University published a new Stanford/Elsevier list of 2% most influential scientists in 2024. The list recognizes leading world researchers whose achievements had a significant impact in their scientific fields, as measured by citations and relevance of published papers.
The annual list includes 129 scientists working in Croatian institutions, 13 more than the previous year, while citation list for the entire career includes 96 scientists from Croatia, 14 more than in the previous research cycle. These data clearly demonstrate growth and strengthening of Croatian science’s influence on a global level.
Inclusion of Split’s scientists among 2% most cited researchers in the world confirms high quality of research at University of Split and Croatia's contribution to global scientific community. The Stanford/Elsevier list is based on rigorous criteria, including citations and h-index, enabling recognition of most influential researchers and track latest trends in science.
