Goals

  • Cilj 4
  • Cilj 17
On June 26, starting at 11:00 AM, the first online welcome session for incoming Erasmus students at the University of Split was held. The presentation was attended by around 170 participants from various countries, and its main goal was to provide essential information related to arriving and living in Split.

Josipa Bartulović, an associate from the International Relations Office, introduced the students to basic information about the University of Split, life and studies in Croatia, health insurance, residence regulations, and available Croatian language courses. In addition, she touched on other important aspects related to organizing student life.

In the second part of the presentation, the president of the ESN Split organization, Magdalena Kalinić, addressed the participants. She explained the role of the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) in the lives of international students, presented various activities that support integration, and introduced the new ESN guide, which will help students find private accommodation in Split.

A special guest of the presentation was Erasmus student Fernando Alvarado, who is currently studying at the University of Split. He shared his personal experience of studying and living in Split, offering future students a valuable first-hand perspective.

Future Erasmus students asked numerous questions about daily life, administrative procedures, and the opportunities that the Erasmus experience in Split offers.

This presentation serves as a great example of best practices in informing and preparing international students. Thanks to the positive atmosphere and the openness of the speakers, participants received all the necessary information to help them prepare for their arrival in Split.
