The European University Championships in combat sports — judo, karate, taekwondo, and kickboxing — took place in Warsaw, August 22 to 25. Croatia was represented by fourteen University of Split students, accompanied by three head coaches.

Kickboxers were most successful. Vito Stojčić, last year's European University Games champion in Debrecen, won the silver medal, as did Paola Tomrecaj, in discipline full contact, while Tamara Flegar secured bronze medal.

Fourth medal for the University of Split was won by Karla Kulić, in judo. She secured silver winning opponents from Poland, Germany, France, and the Netherlands.

The taekwondo team did not win this time, but showed good form and optimism for upcoming competitions.
