On Monday, September 28, University of Split held the Welcome Day for international exchange students arriving in the 2026/2027 winter semester. The event was organised by the Department of International and Inter-University Cooperation and it took place in the amphitheatre of University Department of Professional Studies. At the start of winter semester, University of Split welcomed more than 350 new students from 32 countries.
Students received useful information about studying and living in Split, including the start of classes, administrative requirements and necessary documents, as well as accommodation, healthcare and public transport. They also learned about numerous opportunities to get involved in student life and activities during their stay in Split.
Special emphasis was placed on Support Team and Buddy Programs, through which ESN Split supports students from the moment they arrive, helping them settle into a new city, discover local culture and involvement in student life.
After the official program, students enjoyed an informal get-together and refreshments, which gave them a chance to meet one another and share first impressions of their stay in Split.
