Anti-Fragility Think Tank’s first online meeting on the impact of the pandemic on higher education and research

Within the European University of the Sea Alliance (SEA EU), or the joint project reSEArch-EU, first online meeting of the Anti-Fragility Think Tank (AFTT) took place. This is Alliance's permanent body whose task is to provide guidance and help member states during crises, improving their ability to recover, predict changes and future trends. AFTT members are Nicole Schmidt and Annegret Kuhn from University of Kiel, Lionel Pringent from University of Brest, Joanna Morawska-Jancelewicz and Izabela Disterheft from University of Gdańsk, Simon G. Fabri, Therese Bajada and Elisabeth Conrad from University of Malta, David Jiménez Pavón - University of Cadiz, and Antonio Šarolić and Leandra Vranješ Markić from University of Split. Ana Marušić from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Split, moderated the meeting.

Meeting's main topics were the impact of the pandemic on research-based education and how universities respond to it, pandemic's impact on research and scientific studies in general, and its impact on key stakeholders, governments and economy, including the wider community.
