ST-OPEN is a project of the University of Split. It represents a new type of overlay scientific e-journal that exclusively publishes its content on electronic pages.
The journal is multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary, focusing on transforming student theses into scientific articles (although not limited to this type of articles), where editors actively collaborate with students and their mentors.
Articles are posted on the journal's website when they are accepted by the editorial board after reviews, and are published in English.
All works are available in open access, and publishing in the journal is free, placing ST-OPEN in the category of journals with so-called 'diamond' open access.
ST-OPEN does not come out in issues but releases one volume each year.
