Five-day program of "Advancing Careers in Research and Innovation 2024" summer school was successfully completed, taking place in UNIST Technology Park in Split, September 9-13, 2024. Organized by University of Split, the school brought together 56 participants from universities of Split, Gdańsk and Malta, providing a unique opportunity for networking and knowledge exchange among young researchers, scientists, and research-support staff.

Experts from international organizations: Shiller&Mertens, Steinbeis, CERIC-ERIC, AcrossLimits, and Rise led the workshops, providing participants with valuable knowledge and advice necessary for advancing their careers.

The summer school was organized in the framework of the ERA SHUTTLE project, coordinated by University of Split and funded by Horizon Europe program. ERA SHUTTLE project, with a total value of over 3 million euros, aims to strengthen scientific and innovation capacities connecting academic and non-academic communities among partner countries. The project will establish a framework for intersectoral staff exchange in the field of science and innovation (so-called R&I talents), carry out activities of referring staff to non-academic institutions abroad, and implement numerous knowledge transfer and capacity-building activities in research and innovation in Croatia, Poland and Malta.
