The International Architectural Symposium, part of the Split Tendencies program, successfully took place October 25, 2024, in the foyer of Croatian National Theatre in Split.
Dean assoc. prof. Dr. Neno Torić Ph.D. opened the program, followed by presentations from renowned architects, including:
• Andraž Keršič, a2o2, Ljubljana
• Saša Bradić, bup architekten, Vienna
• Dora Lončarić and Mario Kralj, NEKOLIKO, Zagreb
• Alberto Veiga, Barozzi Veiga, Barcelona
The symposium was moderated by prof. art. Hrvoje Njirić, program curator, and assoc. prof. art. Dinko Peračić. This event provided a special opportunity for architects, architecture students and all other interested parties to learn about some of the most exciting practices in recent European architecture.
Following the symposium, a series of public lectures will continue, on a monthly basis, at Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture, and Geodesy (FGAG), where participants will get to hear from European prominent architects:
• November 2024 - José Toral (Peris+Toral Arquitectes, Barcelona)
• December 2024 - Branco Del Rio Arquitectos (Coimbra)
• March 2025 - Brendeland & Kristoffersen (Stavanger)
• April 2025 - Robert Konieczny (KWK Promes, Katowice)
• May 2025 - Suma Arquitectura (Madrid)
All lectures are open to public and provide excellent opportunities for further learning and exchange of ideas.
